OUR TECHNOLOGIES

Years ago already, carving and rocker technologies, changed our way to ride snow forever. In 2017, Anticonf released a new generation technology, the Next Core ©. Made of bent bamboo stringers and cork, the Next Core © can replace any classical snowboard, ski or wakeboard wooden core. Strong bamboo fibers enhance the board reactivity and pop while the cork lightens the structure and absorbs vibrations.

ENHANCED DYNAMICS

Better energy transmission from feet to contact points.

LIGHTER

WEIGHT

Lower weight without concession on performance

LESS

VIBRATIONS

Vibration damping thanks to lower density cork

Other proprietary technologies were also developed in the past years to enhance performances of our riding gear. It's notably the case of the Air Core, initially developed to lighten downhill longboards without concessions on the stiffness and stability of the board.

OUR MATERIALS

With years in developing green freeride equipment, we've acquired strong knowledge of bio-sourced and recycled materials. For almost any traditional material, there is an alternative available, either directly from the nature or from recycling of our industrial and domestic wastes.

CORK

Harvested  from cork oaks that live up to 600 years, it replaces synthetic petrol-based foams

FLAX FIBER

Flax fiber is 100% natural, it replaces glass fiber with a 5x lower CO2 footprint

WOOD & BAMBOO

FSC certified renewable wood or fast growing bamboo replace scarce tropical woods

In addition to these natural materials, we are leveraging the recycling and bio-sourcing potential through the usage of new generation resins. These resins are partly composed of elements from the bio-mass or from recycled industrial waste, limiting our reliance on petrol based components.

As for the waste our gear represent when they reach the end of their life cycles, we favor up-cycling process, turning your favorite boards and skis into raw material for other industries.

THE ANTICONF LAB

Thanks to a unique prototyping facility, the Anticonf R&D team has full independence and flexibility on the design of new products and technologies. From ideation to prototypes and small series production, every step can be managed at the Anticonf Lab based near Lausanne, Switzerland.

R&D capacities are also opened to external brands willing to develop new products in a fast and flexible way, before industrialization steps.

Anticonf Longboard - 100% made in the Anticonf Lab

For the industrial production, Anticonf relies on trusted external partners. The team has designed extensive quality check processes, combined with on-site presence during production phase to guarantee a high and constant level of quality.

OUR HISTORY

The first "Anticonformiste" longboards were developed in 2007, using classical materials and technologies. The green transition occurred in 2014. From then on, the brand renamed "Anticonf" would only produce high performance gear that are among the most sustainable on the market.  Snowboard development was finalized early 2017 and 2018 was dedicated to ski and wakeboard prototyping proof test.
